Notes on Stillness

I went back to the same stretch of coast for four evenings. Nothing happened, and that was the point. The light arrived late and left slowly; the sea and the sky kept trading colours until there was no line between them.

These twelve photographs are what remained when I stopped waiting for an event and began paying attention to the waiting itself.
